
1. Select a tag tube and a suitably coloured inner lining tube to go with it.

2. Apply heat, but do not let it burn, with a lighter to form a collar at the back end of the inner lining tube. Apply some superglue to the inner lining tube and slide it into place inside and against the back end of the tag tube.

3. Place the tube in the vise.

4. Begin the fly tying by using tying thread to form a key on the tube.

5. Make a tail for the fly out of yellow fox body hair.

6. Secure the tinsel on the underside of the tube.

7. Dub one-half of the body with green sparkle dubbing.

8. Finish the front part of the body by winding a few peacock herls around it.

9. Wind five rounds of tinsel around the body and cut off excess.

10. Attach the first wing from green fox.

11. Add a few green sparkle fibers above the first wing pointing upwards.

12. Cut off the excess of green fox fur and attach the hackle from its tip to the front of the tube onto the inner lining tube.

13. Wind the hackle around a few rounds and , secure and cut off excess.

14. Attach a second wing of black fox, slightly longer than the first.

15. Cut off the excess black fox fur, whip finish and apply head cement/ varnish to the head end of the fly. Trim the front of the lining tube leaving 2-3mm and apply heat to form a collar to strengthen the head.
